1. Assumption of Risk
Boxing and physical fitness training involve inherent risks of injury. By participating in any class, program, or training session at Coach Josh Boxing, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with such activities, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, bruising, and other physical injuries.
2. Waiver of Liability
By registering for classes or entering the facility, you agree to release and hold harmless Coach Josh Boxing, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your participation in training activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
3. Medical Clearance
You represent that you are in good physical health and have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation in boxing training. You are encouraged to consult a physician before beginning any exercise program. You agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or medications to your coach before training.
4. Minors
Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign all required waivers and consent forms. The parent/guardian assumes responsibility for the minor's participation and agrees to the terms outlined in this document on the minor's behalf.
5. Membership and Payments
- Membership fees are due on the agreed-upon billing date and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
- Free trial periods are offered at our discretion and may be limited to one per individual.
- We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' written notice to active members.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your membership.
6. Cancellation Policy
Members may cancel their membership at any time by providing written notice. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods.
7. Code of Conduct
All members and visitors are expected to:
- Treat coaches, staff, and fellow members with respect
- Follow all safety rules and instructions from coaches
- Use equipment properly and return it after use
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate training attire
- Refrain from any aggressive, threatening, or disruptive behavior
- Never engage in unsupervised sparring
Violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate removal from the facility and termination of membership without refund.
8. Personal Property
Coach Josh Boxing is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Members are advised to keep valuables secure and not leave personal items unattended.
9. Photography and Media
We may photograph or video record classes and events for promotional purposes. By entering the facility, you consent to the use of your likeness in marketing materials, social media, and our website. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify staff in advance.
10. Facility Rules
- No outside food or open beverages on the training floor
- Hand wraps are required for all bag and mitt work
- Participants must bring their own gloves or rent/purchase from the gym
- No shoes on the training floor unless designated training shoes are approved by a coach
11. Right to Refuse Service
Coach Josh Boxing reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, behavioral issues, or violation of these terms.
12. Modifications
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of New Haven County, Connecticut.
